This week is devoted to Baki, Seven Deadly Sins and Fairy Tail – so naturally we’re finally getting our Doppo Orochi Inspired Workout.
Needless to say our Anime Workouts Database has been extremely happy.
So far we’ve seen Baki, Yujiro and even Pickle – but now we’re bringing in some more of the big guns from our Baki series.
Our Baki Workout Placement Quiz is absolutely necessary considering the amount of fire power these characters have – it would be nearly impossible for me to choose myself.
And yes, that means you better gear up and get ready for some serious intensity.
Doppo Orochi Stats:
Real Name: Doppo Orochi
Height: 5’10
Weight: 242 lbs.
Anime: Baki
Powers: No
Just to give you an idea of the amount of mass Doppo Orochi has based on his 5’10 and 242 pounds: he is the same weight as Dwayne Johnson but about half a foot shorter.
And extremely lean, with muscle looking like it’s coming out of every inch of him.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Doppo Orochi Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Doppo Orochi Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To start learning about Doppo Orochi we’re going to pull directly from his Wiki Fandom page.
They lead us off with some great information in his bio section which states:
Doppo Orochi is a 10th dan karate grandmaster and head of the Shinshinkai Karate School, husband of Natsue Orochi and adoptive father of Katsumi Orochi. Practicing martial arts for 50 years, he is one of the strongest characters in the series. He is also the sensei of Kiyosumi Katou and Atsushi Suedou.
He is known by many titles, such as the “God of War”, “Man Eater Orochi” and “Tiger Slayer” and former champion of the underground tournament hosted by Mitsunari Tokugawa.
I think I could have told you his titles and you would have had a pretty good understanding of how powerful he was just based on those alone.
Moving into his abilities section, they lead with this:
Doppo is one of the few people in the world along with Baki Hanma or Kaiou Kaku to be able to stand almost toe-to-toe with Yuujiro Hanma. He whips his students into shape by fighting them regularly. Doppo being a 10th Dan and grandmaster in Karate has shown exceptional and extraordinary skills and combat abilities to which Baki describes as fearsome and strong and would hate to challenge him. Doppo trains and practices his techniques every day at least a thousand times a day. His karate style relies on brute force, speed, stamina, and technique varying from stances to defensive/offensive techniques.
We can already tell that we’re going to need to be training to replicate his brute force (strength), speed and stamina – but there’s much more to cover.
They go on to include this section in his abilities section as well:
As founder and practitioner of Shinshinkai style of Karate Doppo have shown above human strength and skill such as flipping a large manhole cover with one hand while being sealed inside a large concrete pipe and reducing it to dust with his hands and feet. Dorian recalls rumors and tales of Doppo being able to uproot large trees with his fist and slay a tiger with his bare hands another testament to his skills. Even his finger flick is very powerful. He used this on Kiyosumi Katou when his former student began to get cocky after his easy victory against Takagi and didn’t show any modesty to the other students of the Shinshinkai Dojo. The force of Doppo’s finger flick was damaging enough to injure Katou’s forehead and even made it bleed.
Kiyosumi Katou and Katsumi Orochi to which they all noted seem impossible to fight him in actual combat. During a demonstration to his students, he was able to chop concrete, stone, ice and a piece of steel wire in half. He also practices his kata (forms) underneath a large waterfall to sharpen and condition his mind and body.
He is very analytical and knowledgeable of other fighting styles techniques such as Yuujiro’s Udonde technique quickly thinking of a countermeasure/attack and shows knowledge of Koushou’s himokiri karate technique being able to break down how his technique and explain it to others.
So while the focus is going to be strength for this one we’ll still need to keep in mind that while the speed will come as we lift heavy and utilize progressive overload, we will still need to tack on extra endurance work if we want to live up to Doppo Orochi.
Or even come close to it!
For this I’m going to be mixing together two of our 90 Day Systems tactics: The Superhuman System and The Behemoth Program.
Our 90 Day Systems have even been used to train new U.S. Marines, which is why we’ll be pulling some techniques from them to become anywhere near Doppo Orochi’s status of badassery.
There won’t be much scaling here; just a nice mixture of training styles – so be ready for heavy weight, intensity, and some endurance work thrown in right on top!
