We’re bringing in a behemoth from the One Punch Man Universe!
We have had a ton of extremely powerful OPM characters hit the site so far, so much so that Superalloy Darkshine didn’t even make it onto our list of the most powerful One Punch Man characters of all time.
That being said, he’s definitely going to be an extremely fun character to build a workout around – from his physique to his abilities – he’s a perfect fit.
And he’ll definitely be the biggest and strongest character to grace our One Punch Man Inspired Workouts so far.
Which means you guys and the rest of the members of The SHJ Army are going to have a great addition to our One Punch Man Workout Placement Quiz as well.

Superalloy Darkshine is absolutely humongous.
We’re talking taller than All Might big.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

Superalloy Darkshine Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Superalloy Darkshine Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Superalloy Darkshine we’re going to be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, which leads us off with this:
Superalloy Darkshine is the Rank 11 S-Class hero of One-Punch Man.
He is known for being among the strongest heroes in the entire organization, able to effortlessly defeat most Demon and Dragon level threats.
He is shown to care genuinely for others, and usually treats those he encounters with politeness and respect.
From there I do want to acknowledge the obvious and mention the fact that we’re going to be training heavily around his gigantic (and muscular) physique.
His overall aesthetic is going to be one of the biggest goals of this routine, but as we move into his overall powers and abilities we’ll learn that it fits right in with our other goals.
Here’s what his Wiki Fandom page starts out by saying about his overall powers and abilities:
As an S-Class hero, Superalloy Darkshine is very powerful. In terms of physical strength, Darkshine is arguably the strongest S-Class hero and is self-proclaimed as one of the strongest S-Class heroes, alongside Tatsumaki and King. Darkshine is notable for his remarkably high durability, which is said to be perhaps the most indomitable in the hero world (without the knowledge of Saitama’s invulnerability). His massive size, nigh-invulnerability, and sheer strength make him the most physically fit hero in the S-Class, above the likes of Tanktop Master and Puri-Puri Prisoner. In his fight against Garou, it is stated that he is the one considered to be at the pinnacle of physical combat. Virtual Genocide System’s (VGS) simulations show that Darkshine is capable of defeating Carnage Kabuto in Carnage Mode after only fifteen minutes, although it required Superalloy Darkshine to use his maximum power to finally finish him. With a light touch he would be able to destroy a monster who is as strong as the Deep Sea King.
And we move into breaking them down individual the main powers they list are:

I’ll be breaking down Shimmer and a bit of background for his strength and speed before we get into it.
Here’s what they give us about his Shimmer:
Shimmer: Having trained his muscles in a different way than anyone else, his body possesses the properties of being able to bounce off any attack when it begins to shine. This was demonstrated when Destrochloridium attempted to pierce Darkshine’s skin but was instead knocked back. When Garou fought Darkshine unconsciously, Darkshine knocked back Garou using this ability after the martial artist used a barrage of attacks on him.
And here’s some intro information regarding his Immense Strength and Speed:
Immense Strength: Through years of intense weightlifting, Superalloy Darkshine attained remarkable strength. Even before attaining his current level, he could lift two tons with one arm. Currently, Darkshine’s strength is said to be unrivaled and impossible to quantify, surpassing most, if not all, of the S-Class heroes’ physical strength.
Immense Speed and Reflexes: Despite his size, Darkshine is surprisingly fast. He was able to keep up with Dragon-level threats such as Garou before the latter started evolving again, when the Hero Hunter tried to confuse him by creating a flurry of afterimages that attacked him from all directions, Darkshine managed to react to and punch the real Garou, knocking him back.
They also go on to talk about his masterful hand to hand combat – and I’ll be throwing in some extra resources for you for that as well.
One final thing I’ll make mention to is the fact that they also rank his endurance and stamina at a 9 and 10 overall which is even above his power and fighting ability at 8 and 9.
So when you see some cardio worked in below, you know why.
