I just finished binge watching Ao Ashi on Crunchyroll and I liked it so much I immediately came to the site and created our new Sports Themed Anime Inspired Workout Database.
We have obviously had tons of sports themed characters show up ranging from Haikyuu and Kuroko’s Basketball all the way to Yuri on Ice and Hajime no Ippo (just to name a handful), but none of those categories are large enough on their own to get a mini-database.
Now we’re able to host tons of sports themed anime characters in one place and I’m excited to grow it even more!
Ashito Aoi isn’t even our first character from our soccer theme, actually, with Yoichi Isagi coming in a few weeks ago after countless requests for Blue Lock.
I’m going to eventually have a Sports Themed Anime Workout Quiz, but for now these characters will be stuck within our regular Workout Placement Quizzes.
Ashito Aoi Stats:
Real Name: Ashito Aoi
Height: 5’6
Weight: 132 lbs.
Anime: Ao Ashi
Powers: No
Ashito Aoi comes in right around average height range compared to what we’ve seen among other male anime characters.
Although we have been seeing more and more behemoths enter our Anime Workouts Database.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Ashito Aoi Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Ashito Aoi Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Ashito Aoi I’ll be pulling from his Wiki Fandom page, leading us off with a brief bio section that they share here:
Ashito Aoi is the main protagonist of Ao Ashi. He is currently a first year high school student and a member of Tokyo City Esperion FC.
Not a ton of new or overly information information for us, but definitely a good start for the people who aren’t that familiar with Ashito just yet.
When we do move down into his abilities section his fandom actually focuses more on specific skills that help improve his game rather than the skills that come with him being an incredible athlete.
Here’s what they have to share for us:
Eagle Eye: Ashito can see the position, body orientation, and location of nearly, and on some occasions, every player in the field. Thanks to this, he can simulate their projected path. As stated by Anri Kaido, his ability is to remember the positioning of players on the pitch and predicting their next movement. He can also determine the spaces his opponents wish to use, and identify where his teammates would want or need him to be at, making him a great playmaker.
Photographic Memory: Combined with his wide vision, Ashito can remember the entire match to a stunning degree, which greatly helps in his development as a player since he can figure out what play he did right or wrong, how he did it and the events that lead up to it, as well as its effects on his and the opponent’s team.
Neck Turning: A habit he learned from his respected senior Kuribayashi, he is able to gain more information such as which players are around him. This is also to ensure he performs his plays correctly and is able to link up with teammates and their actions while in possession of the ball. An example of this in use is when Ashito first utilized it, he is able to instantly execute a long pass towards a forward moving up the field before other players even realize what happened. This information gathering, when used in conjunction with his eagle eye and photographic memory, allows for more advanced plays as the match progresses, furthering his development as a playmaker.
One thing that we CAN use is the neck turning, being that we know Ashito Aoi is a playmaker.
Aoi is extremely fast, trains extremely hard, has a ton of endurance, and struts a lean and toned physique.
For that reason, those are all the things we’re going to be prioritizing for this workout routine.
To break it down a bit better for you, here are our main goals for our Ashito Aoi workout:
- Ashito’s Lean and Toned Physique
- Ashito’s Speed and Endurance
- Ashito’s High Volume Training
For this we’ll be using calisthenics training, and it won’t be extremely intense with supersets or tri-sets, but there will be a lot of volume – so don’t be afraid to scale down a bit or even start with our Beginner Ninja Workout instead (and then make your way back to this one)!
