This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Sung Jinwoo at SHJ.
He was requested so much he became our first ever character to hit SHJ that was from a webcomic (that was yet to be made into a manga or anime).
Our original Sung Jinwoo Inspired Workout is based around weight training (albeit nothing too intense), and tones of people have utilized it with some amazing results, but we also have a ton of people in The SHJ Army that are our bodyweight trainers asking for a calisthenics version.
So here we are!
It’s time to train to level up like Sung Jinwoo, but this time strictly with bodyweight movements!
Sung Jinwoo Stats:
Real Name: Sung Jinwoo
Height: (approximate fan guessimate) 6’1
Weight: N/A
Manga: Solo Leveling
Powers: Yes
Sung Jinwoo is actually pretty tall – nearing the point of being considered a behemoth among our Anime Workouts Database – yet just missing the mark.
Although he’d technically be right around average height if we compare him to male superheroes and celebrities.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Sung Jinwoo Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Sung Jinwoo Calisthenics Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Sung Jinwoo to be able to build out this routine we’re going to be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, which leads us off with this bio for him:
Sung Jinwoo is the main protagonist of Solo Leveling. Originally an infamously weak E-Rank Hunter, he got the chance of a lifetime when he was selected as the Player of the System, giving him the unique ability to grow in strength without restraint. As a result, by taking advantage of the opportunities offered to him by the System, Jinwoo eventually rose to power as humanity’s greatest hunter and the second Shadow Monarch.
In terms of his appearance, which we normally don’t cover considering we usually have ample amount of pictures and see the characters in the anime, they give us this for Jinwoo:
Jinwoo is a handsome and muscular young man with gray eyes, black hair, and sharp facial features. When using his powers or agitated, his eyes glow bright purple. He is almost always seen wearing dark colors, particularly black.
When we then move into his abilities we can really start to see what we’re going to be training around, although we already know we’re going to have to factor in the fact that Jinwoo is big and muscular.
Here’s how they start off his abilities section:
As the vessel of the Shadow Monarch, Jinwoo is the strongest hunter in the world and completely outclasses the seven Rulers’ vessels in raw power.
From there he has a LONG list of abilities.
We won’t be able to use all of it to build out our routine, but I’m going to break down the full list:
- Immense Strength: Jinwoo possesses incomparably immense levels of physical strength. As a testament to this, he was able to quash the Statue of God, beat Thomas Andre to the brink of death while still holding back, kill the Beast Monarch in four hits, and slice Antares almost completely in half during their fight.
- Immense Durability: Jinwoo possesses incomparably immense levels of physical durability.
- Armor Creation: By concentrating his powers around himself, Jinwoo can generate jet-black armor onto his body.
- Immunity: If Jinwoo is affected by a debuff, this buff automatically removes it from his status, as displayed when it prevented him from being stunned by Baran’s lightning breath attack.
- Detoxification: If Jinwoo is poisoned, this buff automatically purges the said poison from his body, as displayed when it was able to almost instantly cleanse him of the Ant King’s paralysis poison. However, as the System detects alcohol as a poison, Jinwoo can’t get drunk.
- Tenacity: If Jinwoo’s health falls below 30%, this buff reduces all further damage taken by 50% in an attempt to keep him alive.
- Longevity: Jinwoo is immune to all diseases, poisonous substances, and any abnormalities to his status. This buff also grants him a regenerative healing factor, which accelerates exponentially when he sleeps.
- Stealth: Jinwoo is able to camouflage with his surroundings and hide all traces of presence, essentially turning himself both physically and magically invisible.
- Bloodlust: Jinwoo is able to magically intimidate a target into submission.
- Quicksilver: Jinwoo is able to increase his speed by 30% for a short burst.
- Mutilation: Jinwoo rips a target to shreds with his daggers. Due to his immense strength, most targets suffer grievous injuries on the first strike.
- Dagger Rush: Jinwoo barrages a target with his daggers from all directions.
- Ruler’s Authority: Jinwoo is able to move and control objects via telekinesis.
- Dragon’s Fear: Jinwoo is able to release a mana-infused shout from his soul that drives anyone weaker than him into a state of intense despair and panic.
- Shadow Extraction: Jinwoo is able to extract shadows from the corpses of his enemies and add them to his army.
- Shadow Preservation: Jinwoo is able to preserve his shadows in storage and monitor them by perceiving their senses.
- Shadow Exchange: Jinwoo is able to use shadows as portals to travel vast distances in an instant.
- Monarch’s Domain: Jinwoo is able to buff the strength of all of his active shadows by 50% in battle.
In the our original Sung Jinwoo Workout, which was built around weight training, we focused in on his immense strength as the number one goal of our routine.
For this one we will still make it a primary focus, but we’ll be doing that with calisthenics training.
So the goals for our Sung Jinwoo Inspired Calisthenics Workout are as follows:
- Sung Jinwoo’s Lean and Toned Muscular Aesthetic
- Sung Jinwoo’s Immense Strength
- Sung Jinwoo’s Hunter Endurance
We’ll be following a similar structure to our original routine, but this time with strictly bodyweight training to be able to accomplish it.
This one will be intermediate to advanced level, so if you want to scale down you can, or you can even start with our Beginner Ninja Workout if needed.
Check out all The SHJ Programs and start unleashing your inner SuperHuman.
