Next up among our Vikings is Bjorn!
We’ve had a few awesome characters from Vinland Saga so far; enough to warrant a Vinland Saga Inspired Workouts mini-database, and now you guys have made it clear you want Bjorn next.
Bjorn actually made it onto our list of the top ten strongest Vinland Saga characters, coming in at number seven, so getting an early spot among our workouts definitely makes sense.
I personally love Vinland Saga and all things Vikings so I’m excited to get some more seasons and manga volumes for us to fill up our database even more.
That said, you we do have a few more characters in the requests I still need to get to in the coming weeks.
Bjorn Stats:
Real Name: Bjorn
Height: 5’9
Weight: 176 lbs.
Anime: Vinland Saga
Powers: No
Bjorn comes in just above average height among male anime characters.
We’ve seen a growing number of behemoths within our Anime Workouts Database, so although our average height is shorter for male anime characters than it is for superheroes and celebrities, the average is slowly going up.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Bjorn Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Bjorn Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Bjorn we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, starting with a very short bio:
Bjorn was Askeladd’s second in command and his longest serving and most loyal follower.
Although short, it is relevant and necessary background, especially for people coming in who don’t know Bjorn just yet.
We already know Bjorn has a stocky and muscular physique, so we can skip that section of his Fandom and move right into his abilities.
Here’s how they break it down for us:
Berserker: Bjorn was a skilled warrior and fought with a sword and shield. His full power was displayed when he used the berserker mushroom. When in this state, he displayed tremendous ferocity, strength, and resistance to pain, becoming a highly dangerous opponent capable of continuing to battle even despite multiple injuries. The downside was that Bjorn could not distinguish between friend and foe in this state, making him potentially lethal even to his allies.
Despite this, he was defeated by Thors in hand to hand combat, not managing to land a hit on the former. Years later while defending Canute, he single-handedly defeated 10 of his former companions, despite sustaining several injuries and starting out unarmed. However, after being snapped out of his berserker state by Canute, he was surprised by Atli, who was able to stab him deeply in the guts.
He survived his injuries initially but did not have much time left. He challenged Askeladd to a duel after accepting his fate and was laid to rest after his defeat.
We’re going to be training to be capable of reaching a berserker state like Bjorn!
For this we’ll need to focus on mass to work towards that pain resistance; and the obvious: a ton of strength!
That makes our priority goals for our Bjorn Inspired Workout as follows:
- Bjorn’s Tremendous Strength
- Bjorn’s Mass and Ferocity
- Bjorn’s Muscular Stocky Physique
We’ll obviously be training with weights for this one, so if you want a calisthenics workout I suggest sorting the anime mini databases by calisthenics or heading into the full calisthenics database.
This one will be build around an intermediate level, but there is room to scale or even start by using our Beginner Behemoth Workout if you’d like as well.
