Kishibe was one of the first Chainsaw Man characters requested, but once I brought in Denji you guys flooded the request form with tons of other awesome characters.
But, Kishibe obviously deserves his spot within our Chainsaw Man Inspired Workouts, and he’ll actually be the first male character getting a weight training routine.
We currently have two females training with weights, and Denji and Aki based around calisthenics training – which The SHJ Army was pretty happy about actually.
Kishibe is an extremely strong character, as we’ll learn more about below in our workout research section below, and it will be extremely fun to build a routine around him.
He will likely make it onto our list of the most powerful AND the most popular Chainsaw Man characters when they eventually make their way onto the site.
Kishibe Stats:
Real Name: Kishibe
Height: N/A
Weight: N/A
Anime: Chainsaw Man
Powers: Yes
Although we don’t have a specific height and weight for Kishibe listed just yet, we can assume he’s a bit about average height we’ve seen for male anime characters as he isn’t listed as “short” or “tall” in his appearance section.
That would usually mean he’s around 5’8-5’11 range.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Kishibe Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Kishibe Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Kishibe I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page starting with a brief bio they lead off for us here:
Kishibe is a Public Safety Devil Hunter from Tokyo Special Division 1, but after the assault on the Special Divisions, he became captain’s of the Tokyo Special Division 4.
From there we can move right down into his abilities section which starts us off with this:
Kishibe is the strongest member of Tokyo Special Division 4 according to Makima, followed by the Angel Devil. Kishibe has described himself as being the strongest devil hunter.
Kishibe has contracts with at least three devils which have described as being “fairly dangerous”.
Though he was initially dismissed by them as being no one special, Kishibe proved strong enough to easily subdue two of the fiends who work for Quanxi singlehandedly.
We are going to have our work cut out for us with this one.
If we take a look at how they break down each portion of his physical prowess abilities, we can see this:
- Enhanced Strength: Kishibe is extremely strong for a human; he was able to pick Denji and Power up off the ground with one arm each and snap their necks with neither of them being able to stop him. With simple punches he could break weapons formed out of Power’s hardened blood.
- Enhanced Speed: Kishibe is an extremely quick fighter; able to dodge Denji’s slash and counter-attack by stabbing him several times before Denji could react, and slash Power’s throat before she could start her own attack.
- Enhanced Reflexes: Kishibe has superhuman reflexes, being able to dodge a spear at point-blank range which was thrust through the door in front of him by surprise and react to incoming attacks from directly above him.
- Enhanced Durability: Kishibe could survive being thrown out of a window and falling hard enough to crush the roof of a car, though he did slow his descent by stabbing a knife into the side of the building.
Thankfully we’ll be able to work around both speed and strength at the same time.
To finish off I do also want to share what they tell us about his knifemanship and hand to hand combat:
- Knifemanship: Kishibe is very proficient at using knives in combat; after evading Denji’s strike he repeatedly stabbed Denji in the back before driving the knife up through his jaw and into his brain, before slashing Power’s throat. He also have great marksmanship, as he was able to throw his knife accurately down a hallway to hit Denji in the head.
- Hand-to-Hand Combat: Kishibe is skilled in hand-to-hand combat. When Denji attempted to attack him from behind Kishibe could spin and kick in a single fluid motion to strike Denji’s head and leave him incapacitated.
We won’t necessarily be working around these abilities, but it is relevant to recognize when moving into the workout.
That means our goals for our Kishibe Inspired Workout are:
- Kishibe’s Enhanced Strength and Speed
- Kishibe’s Lean and Toned Aesthetic
- Kishibe’s Enhanced Endurance
As our main goals will be strength and speed, we will be working with weight training as I mentioned above.
This one will be programmed around an intermediate level so if you’re a beginner you could either scale down a bit or start with our Beginner Behemoth Workout and then work your way back here to Kishibe’s workout.
