Last week I brought in our Viper Workout, from Valorant, as the newest member of our Riot Games Inspired Workouts Database, and you guys made it clear we need more of our favorite League of Legends characters.
So while we do have some other awesome characters coming – some of the newer characters – we needed to make sure to get Yasuo in first.
We’ve had some incredible swordsman join our Anime Workouts Database, so this won’t be the first time we come across a powerful and quick sword wielder.
That said, we will be using bodyweight training to accomplish this one, so be ready for the newest member within our calisthenics workouts as well – because Yasuo, the Unforgiven – is here to get us shredded.
Yasuo Stats:
Real Name: Yasuo
Height: 5’11
Weight: 170 lbs.
Video Game: League of Legends
Powers: Yes
Yasuo comes in above average height if we compare him strictly to anime male characters, but a bit below average of what we’d see from superheroes and even male celebrities (though not much off that category).
His weight range is right on par with what we’d consider him to have with the amount of mass he is shown with, so we’re going to be working hard to replicate that as well.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Yasuo Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Yasuo Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To start off I’ll be pulling right from our Wiki Fandom page to learn more about Yasuo and how we’ll need to build this one out.
But first, here’s how Riot breaks down his bio section for us:
An Ionian of deep resolve, Yasuo is an agile swordsman who wields the air itself against his enemies. As a proud young man, he was falsely accused of murdering his master—unable to prove his innocence, he was forced to slay his own brother in self defense. Even after his master’s true killer was revealed, Yasuo still could not forgive himself for all he had done, and now wanders his homeland with only the wind to guide his blade.
Moving on from there we can jump into the Wiki Fandom page and start discussing the appearance we’re going to be shooting for.
Here’s how they break that down for us:
Yasuo appears to be a fairly stocky adult man, fair skin with a scar on his nose, brown eyes with green highlights, back-length hair tied in a ponytail, and has a shadow of a beard. His attire consists of a rather torn Ionic samurai-style armor, on his right he has a part of metal armor and the rest is a torn light blue armor that exposes part of his chest, baggy pants, a cloth that covers part of his chest and the face and always carries with him his sword.
And when they move into his abilities we learn about his Wind Magic and his Swordsmanship.
They break down the Wind Magic first, but we’ll be looking into his swordsmanship as well:
- Wind Magic: Yasuo learned wind magic from his master. with the magical ability to manipulate wind and air currents, giving him the ability to create air-based shields, conjure tornadoes, or even wind-powered flight.
- Master Swordsmanship: Yasuo is a very skilled swordsman combining his ninja techniques with his magical abilities giving him the ability to launch direct or distant attacks, he is only rivaled by his brother Yone.
Which brings us to our goals.
The goals for our Yasuo Inspired Workout are going to be:
- Yasuo’s Shredded Muscular Aesthetic
- Yasuo’s Strength and Speed
- Yasuo’s Swordsman Mobility
We won’t be learning wind magic, unfortunately, but we will be looking to use calisthenics training to get shredded, nimble, quick and strong.
This one won’t be the hardest calisthenics workout that has ever been on the site, but it will definitely be a tough one to jump right into if you’re a beginner.
That said, we have some awesome Beginner Workouts you can start with if you’d like, and I recommend the Beginner Ninja Workout being the best to utilize before leveling up to this one.
