It’s time to give Reigen his rightful place inside our Anime Workouts Database.
Listen, it’s not that we’re specifically growing our Mob Psycho 100 characters, but you guys have requested him enough, and he deserves it.
If we have Mob and Musashi Goda, then we need Reigen.
Although that does mean we’re one step closer to having an excuse to bring in a Mob Psycho 100 mini database.
That said, we’re going to be adding Reigen to the Calisthenics Workouts Database, coming in with a bodyweight routine for this one – for obvious reasons.
So bodyweight members of The SHJ Army rejoice!
Arataka Reigen Stats:
Real Name: Arataka Reigen
Height: 5’10
Weight: 145 lbs.
Anime: Mob Psycho 100
Powers: Yes
Reigen is actually around average height compared to other male anime characters, potentially even slightly above average – though no where near our behemoths.
That said, he is extremely light for his weight, not holding onto much mass.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Arataka Reigen Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Arataka Reigen Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Reigen, we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, starting with what they tell us about his bio section here:
Arataka Reigen is Mob’s mentor and boss. He is the self-proclaimed “Greatest Psychic of the 21st Century” as well as owner and operator of the Spirits and Such Consultation Office. He is the deuteragonist of the series.
This doesn’t tell us much about our workout routine, other than the fact that this is much different than we’re used to seeing from most of our overpowered characters we have landing within our databases.
From there we’re going to start jumping right into his abilities section, skipping ahead passed his appearance section because we already know what we’re dealing with there.
And even there we’ll be working backwards, starting with how they finish it off here:
Initially unable to see spirits, he gained the ability to see them after being temporarily infused with Mob’s psychic power. When infused with Mob’s powers, he entered the “Reigen Arataka – 1000%” state, where he was able to effortlessly deal with all of the 7th Division Scars, taking their most powerful attacks like they were nothing.
Reigen’s true strength lies in his mental fortitude and charisma. He has the ability to focus on and execute solutions when in the face of uncertainty or adversity and keeps his cool in all situations. He is good at winning arguments, and maintaining common sense and positivity no matter the argument. He’s a skilled manipulator of other people, able to tell half-truths and straight-up lies naturally. He’s also a good actor, which helps him carry his lies along and is critical to maintaining his persona as a master psychic, especially during the years when he couldn’t even see spirits.
Reigen is also the creator of various “special techniques”, which he uses to great effect in his line of work. They can range from offensive abilities to restorative body or mind-cleansing procedures, often involving him dramatically shouting the name of the said ability as he performs it.
We’re not dealing with an extremely powerful character that needs to gain tons of muscle, but that doesn’t mean Reigen isn’t strong.
Here’s how his powers and abilities section started off:
Reigen possesses a wide variety of skills and knowledge due to working many different jobs while trying to avoid becoming a masseur as his parents wanted. He applies these skills and knowledge when helping his clients, only calling in Mob if actual spirits are involved. Reigen has also said he possesses the green belt in Shaolin kung-fu and is proficient enough in martial arts to knock people out.
So while he may not be jacked like Musashi Goda, he can definitely hold his own and we have plenty to work around here.
The goals for our Arataka Reigen Inspired Workout are:
- Reigen’s Lean and Slim Aesthetic
- Reigen’s Kung-Fu Mobility and Speed
- Reigen’s Knock Out Strength
I’m going to be building this one out around an intermediate workout, but you can easily scale it down to a beginner workout by cutting the supersets (and turning them into a base routine without them), and even cutting down on some of the overall volume.
If that’s too hard, you could even start with one of our Beginner Workouts, with the Beginner Ninja Workout being the best option.
