I figured being that we’re on a Hunter X Hunter roll anyways I may as well keep it going.
Actually, we’re getting four new Hunter X Hunter Inspired Workouts this week in total – but I’m going to start with two and then fan out into some of our other routines before circling back.
First this week we had Menthuthuyoupi being that he actually is now part of our new Hunter X Hunter Workout Placement Quiz – and next up on the list is our second Zoldyck to hit the site after Killua has been here a couple times!
Zeno won’t be the last, but I thought it was best he be the next Zoldyck to join us.
It’s also nice that he’s another double whammy of a character that will also eventually make it onto our listicle of the most powerful Hunter X Hunter characters as well!
Zeno Zoldyck Stats:
Real Name: Zeno Zoldyck
Height: 5’2.5
Weight: 127.8 lbs.
Anime: Hunter X Hunter
Powers: Yes
Zeno Zoldyck is actually extremely short – which is slightly odd considering how massive his son Silva is!
He comes in as one of the shortest male anime characters we’ve seen – meanwhile he’s also one of the oldest (which is relevant because a lot of the shortest characters we see are due to being really young).
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

Zeno Zoldyck Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Zeno Zoldyck Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
Just like our other characters we’re going to be starting this one off by pulling right from Zeno Zoldyck’s Wiki Fandom to learn a little bit more about him.
Here’s what they have to say to start us off:
Zeno Zoldyck is a professional assassin and an extremely skilled Nen practitioner. He is the father of Silva Zoldyck and grandfather of Killua Zoldyck.
Zeno is technically an old man, but we can’t let his appearance fool us – he is EXTREMELY powerful.
Moving into his powers and abilities section they start us off by giving us an overview:
Zeno’s enviable mastery over Nen, his training as an assassin, the experience gleaned over the years of activity and his calm and analytic mind make him an extremely powerful fighter. His name alone is enough to frighten anyone with knowledge about the underworld. Zeno confidently stated that it would only take him less than seven seconds to kill a whole group of armed Mafia members, and that Chrollo Lucilfer, the leader of the Phantom Troupe, would require his full strength and intent to kill to defeat Zeno. During their fight, he managed to force Chrollo onto the defensive. Neferpitou, a member of the Royal Guard, grew very excited to confront him, having sensed his power through their En. Zeno is also very perceptive, as he detected Killua had removed Illumi’s needle from his brain.
They then go on to break down some individual powers and abilities that come with this overwhelming skill they just told us about.
And, all this is without even taking into account the fact that he is also a super-skilled Nen user as well.
Here’s what they tell us about some of the abilities we’ll also be using to build out this routine:
Immense Strength: Zeno can effortlessly lift debris bigger than he is. He landed uninjured after leaping off his Nen dragon at a height of at least two thousand meters (the length of one of the tendrils of Neferpitou’s En).
Immense Speed and Reflexes: Zeno can match Chrollo and Silva in speed. His reactions are fast enough to allow him to catch Chrollo’s kick while at the same time unleashing a barrage of punches with his free hand.
Enhanced Agility: Zeno can cover long distances with only one jump. He landed gracefully after a free fall of two kilometers.
High Intelligence: Zeno has a keen intellect and a considerable amount of experience to back it up. He is extremely analytic in a battle, predicting the actions of genius fighters like Chrollo and coming up with perfect countermeasures in an instant.
Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Zeno might be superior to Chrollo in unarmed combat; he drew blood from the latter with a strike with the side of his hand and later restrained him by grabbing his leg, keeping him off balance and cornering him with a series of extremely fast punches.
Surprisingly enough: this program is actually going to focus on strength as one of the main things we’ll be shooting for.
With strength as a focus we’ll also be aiming for speed and agility as the next two slots.
Being that we’re not necessarily looking to get massive, and we are actually training to become an assassin I think this is a really good time to incorporate calisthenics training – but super high intensity and with some advanced holds and possible progression work.
We also have Silva coming this week, as I already mentioned, so don’t worry – we’ll have multiple Hunter X Hunter characters using weights – and one of them will even be a Zoldyk!
Either way, though, this one won’t be easy.

Zeno Zoldyck Workout Routine
Training Volume:
5 days per week
Explanation:
For this one we’re going to be utilizing 3 base days of calisthenics and then 2 days devoted to circuit intensity to put our speed to the test. On our base days we’ll have different variations of calisthenics training you can scale up or down by increasing or decreasing the rep count (or total sets) or scaling to a more or less advanced movement. On top of that we’ll be throwing in some hold work on each base calisthenics day as well.
