We just added our Flower Hashira, Kanae Kocho, to our Demon Slayer Inspired Workouts – and now it’s time for our former Thunder Hashira!
As I mentioned in the last article, we have TONS of Demon Slayer characters here at SHJ, but I also want to make sure we have every single one of our known Hashira to show off as well.
The current Hashira filled up our list of The Most Powerful Demon Slayer Characters of All Time – but Jigoro Kuwajima will make a great addition to our Anime Workouts Database.
And I’m also pretty sure The SHJ Army is going to love getting him as an answer on our Demon Slayer Workout Placement Quiz.
Jigoro Kuwajima Stats:
Real Name: Jigora Kuwajima
Height: N/A
Weight: N/A
Anime: Demon Slayer
Powers: Yes
There’s no specific height and weight listed for Jigoro, but we do know he’s very short.
He actually kind of reminds me of Gran Torino from My Hero Academia.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Jigoro Kuwajima Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Jigoro Kuwajima Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To kickstart our research into our former Demon Slayer Thunder Hashira, we’re going to be starting with his Wiki Fandom page to help us out.
Here’s how they start his brief bio section off:
Jigoro Kuwajima is the man who trained Zenitsu Agatsuma and Kaigaku. He was formerly the Thunder Hashira in the Demon Slayer Corps.
So nothing too crazy we didn’t know.
Although some of you may not know Kaigaku, who is now a member of The Twelve Kizuki, and holds the position of Upper Rank Six.
He was not far off from making our list of The Most Powerful Demons in Demon Slayer.
When we continue deeper into Jigoro’s Wiki Fandom we don’t see nearly as much as background information as we’re used to.
So for the sake of learning a bit more about Jigoro I’ll be pulling some extra sections we wouldn’t normally utilize:
Jigoro had a steadfast devotion to his students and strict training. Despite his status as a strong mentor and experience as a previous Hashira, he had a soft spot and unwavering dedication towards raising the next generation of students. Due to this passionate devotion, he was filled with grief after discovering that his former pupil, Kaigaku, betrayed the Demon Slayer Corps and joined the ranks of the Twelve Kizuki.
Zenitsu Agatsuma noted that, despite how often he whined and ran away, Jigoro never gave up on him once. He had saved Zenitsu from a lifetime of debt and taken him on as a student, and, showing unyielding patience, was happy just to see Zenitsu master the first form of his breathing technique. He had a great belief in training skills to perfect through repetition comparing it to forging and purifying the steel of their swords. This strong fatherly love for his students is further shown when he shown to be both flattered and touched by Zenitsu’s declaration of his love and gratefulness for all of his efforts put into forcing Zenitsu to improve himself despite everyone else abandoning him and deeming him worthless.
So Jigoro was always a great mentor and teacher.
On top of this, we also know we can use what we’ve seen from Zenitsu’s Thunder Breathing technique and multiply it based on the fact that Jigoro was a Hashira and mastered all forms.
Which means we’ll not only be training for strength for this one, but also lightning speed.

Regardless of the background information we were able to pull for Jigoro and the fact that he is now older – we are still training like a former Demon Slayer Hashira. For that reason we’ll be utilizing 3 days of strength and speed training and then 2 days devoted to speed and endurance in different formats.
