Baki is one of my favorite anime, and I have been waiting for “Baki Hanma” to drop on Netflix for what feels like forever.
Even with only a few seasons, though, our Baki Inspired Workouts are extremely popular among our SHJ Army – and now we’re back for another Hanma to make his way to the site.
Yuichiro Hanma is one of the most powerful Baki characters of all time, but not enough is know to rank him in as the strongest right now.
Especially when you have his son and grandson Yujiro and Baki!
Either way, he’ll easily join the ranks as one of the strongest characters we have inside our Anime Workouts Database without even having typical powers like we see in there.
Yuichiro Hanma Stats:
Real Name: Yuichiro Hanma
Height: 6’6
Weight: 330 lbs.
Anime: Baki
Powers: No
Yuichiro is an absolute monster.
He comes in only 2 inches taller than Dwayne Johnson, but has nearly 100 lbs. of muscle on him!
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Yuichiro Hanma Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Yuichiro Hanma Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To get us started with our research into grandfather Hanma, we’re going to start by pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page.
Here’s how they start us off with his initial bio section:
Yuuichiro Hanma or Yuuichirou Hanma, is the father of Yuujiro Hanma and grandfather of Jack Hanma and Baki Hanma. He is the only other person aside from Yuujiro to defeat the USA on a small island in the Okinawa territory during WW2. He is also known for defeating 2,000 US soldiers using one technique.
From there we move on into his abilities section, and they’re going to start by hitting on something I mentioned already, which is the fact that we really don’t have enough information to rank in his entire strength level.
However, we do know he’s extremely powerful:
The true depths of Yuuichiro’s strength is still currently unknown, but those who’ve come across him suggest he is inhumanly strong. As such shown in the battle of Okinawa to be the only other man in the world besides his son to single-handedly defeat the USA during WWII. It is unknown if Yuuichiro is stronger than Yuujiro, but it is stated that he was the only man he never defeated (however there is currently no evidence of them having fought at all in the past). This is most likely due to Yuuichiro’s death which occurred most likely when Yuujiro was quite young. This is exemplified by his shocked and fearful expression when his father’s spirit appeared to support Baki.
They continue on with a a ton of additional information that is also helpful, stating:
Yuuichiro is only known to use one technique to defeat two thousand US soldiers on the battleship Iowa. Many of the soldiers call this technique “dress” only for Yuujiro to correct it by stating the real technique was really called “guise”. The user uses his opponent as a human weapon like a “nunchaku” surrounding himself in a spiritual image that looks like a dress. The power behind his throws is powerful enough that he is able to kill just about anyone he hits instantly. Its power is so immense, that when Major General James was thrown to the wood of the Iowa battleship, a wood durable enough to withstand direct attacks from big weapons, his corpse pierced through it. Furthermore, he can perform his variation of the technique so blindly fast that entire squadrons of soldiers can’t turn their guns fast enough to defend themselves against this truly gruesome move.
When Doppo Orochi started to fight him, he ends up possibly breaking Yuuichiro’s jaw. This incident may hint that Yuuichiro might in fact be weaker than his son (Yuujiro endured Doppo’s blows considerably more brutal than a kick to the jaw without being harmed). It could mean Yuuichiro simply let Doppo attack him as a way of testing Doppo’s strength, given his glib and carefree behavior towards the latter before and after the fact. However, since it’s hard to assess how strong Doppo was at this stage it’s possible Yuuichiro is less durable than his son.
We’re CLEARLY dealing with an insanely strong and powerful character here.
If it wasn’t obvious by his sheer mass: we’re going to definitely be training to get big and powerful (talkin’ strength here)!
For that reason I’m going to be building this one using tactics that we’ve seen within our Behemoth Program 90 Day System to tack on mass – but I’ll also be adding in a bit of Yuchiro flair and switching it up to be more specifically built for his body type.
Our 90 Day Systems have even been used to help train new U.S. Marines – which I doubt Yuichiro would approve of – but it does show we won’t be messing around with this one!
This will include tons of heavy weights combined with tons of volume.
So make sure you’re ready…because we’re training like a Hanma.
