You guys have been OBSESSED with our Baki Inspired Workouts lately, and the requests for more characters are flooding in.
And today we’re going to be talking about another behemoth of a character.
Nomi came in on our list of runner ups among The Most Powerful Baki Characters of All Time recently – so it’s not surprise you guys wanted to see more of him.
I should note that we have not yet met Nami in any of our anime, so if you’re not a manga reader you may not know of him yet – but don’t worry – we’ll be breaking it all down in our research section below.
Not only are members of our unlimited access upgrade from our Unofficial Baki Workout Booklet going to be excited, but Nomi will also be a great addition to our Baki Workout Placement Quiz as well.
Nomi no Sukune II Stats:
Real Name: Nomi no Sukune II
Height: 6’11
Weight: 550 lbs.
Anime: Baki
Powers: No
Nomi is HUGE.
He doesn’t quote stand up to characters like Pickle and Jack Hanma, but his 550 lbs. is absolutely massive.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Nomi no Sukune II Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Nomi no Sukune II Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Nomi we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, which leads us off with this:
Nomi no Sukune II is the descendant of Nomi no Sukune, who also happens to be named Nomi, is a major character in the newest arc of Baki-Dou. He’s a professional sumo wrestler.
And, just to be clear, even though he performs like a sumo wrestler and looks like one; Nomi’s body is made up of massive amounts of muscle – much more than your typical sumo.
They say this about his appearance:
Nomi no Sukune’s descendant is a highly bulky muscular man, and he has jet black hair which is slicked back into a ponytail. His body is well rounded for giving the best stance and power possible as a sumo wrestler. For a very large and imposing man, he has very gentle facial features; Baki Hanma even says his face looks pretty girlish.
When they move on into his abilities section they talk about just how insanely strong he is.
Starting with this big section:
Mitsunari Tokugawa described the descendant as the top sumo wrestler in his respective style. It is implied that his grip strength has even surpassed his ancestors. Tokugawa stated that he was able to fully crush coal into diamond, meaning his grip strength alone is equal to 100,000 atmospheres (or 100 tons) of pressure. Nomi also scaled a massive climbing wall without a safety harness in just three steps and jumped back down to the ground without issue, a feat which shocked many of the people in the crowd (one of which was Baki). Moments later, when he was asked by Baki to show him a sumo technique, Nomi created an abstract “yokozuna”, which managed to physically affect the crowd watching him after being thrown at them. Nomi’s overall strength is shown to be massive, as he was casually creating mini-earthquakes with his legs while practicing the “Shikoashi”. In his fight against Oozeki, he managed to stop the strong sumo wrestler’s initial charge without much problem before grabbing his shoulder blade and lifting him up one-handed like it was nothing.
They’re not done there.
They also continue on to talk about his battle with Biscuit Oliva, who we know is The Strongest Man in the USA:
His greatest feat of strength is demonstrated when he faced Biscuit Oliva and (through sheer grip strength alone) grabbed him by the ribs and broke all of them just by pulling them upwards, completely bypassing Oliva’s formidable musculature with minimal effort. Nomi is also shown to be extraordinarily tough as Oliva’s iron-like fists were completely shattered (much to his shock) when he punched Nomi’s forehead, which was virtually unharmed by the attack. Nomi’s absurd toughness was once again proven when Yuujiro Hanma struck him with a powerful blow to the face and he was still able to stand on his feet despite being unconscious from the blow. Mitsunari Tokugawa has mentioned that if Musashi Miyamoto were there he’d have praised the young man’s durability, likely exclaiming something like: “How mighty that temple of flesh!”.
Clearly we have our work cut out for us.
If it wasn’t clear: for this one we’re going to be training for size and strength.
I’m going to be using tactics from our Academy and our Academy 90 Day System to make sure we’re tacking on insane amounts of muscle while still staying lean in the process.
So be ready for heavy lifting and a lot of volume!
