We’re back for some more Cowboy Bebop!
We have had the luxury of already seeing a handful of our Cowboy Bebop celebrities, and even the other two of our three main characters join our Workout Database.
Now with our Netflix live action is tearing threw TV screens all over the world – our Bebop characters and celebrities are more popular than ever.
We’ve had John Cho’s Workout (who plays Spike) and Mustafa Shakir’s Workout (who plays Jet Black) – and we’ve even had our Spike Spiegel Inspired Workout and Faye Valentine Inspired Workout – so it’s about time we got to Jet!
A lot of members within our SHJ Army grew up with Cowboy Bebop, and judging by the current feedback this won’t be the last live action we get (especially with a few more already announced and in the works).
I mean, they can’t be as bad as the Dragon Ball Evolution live action movie from 2009…
Jet Black Stats:
Real Name: Jet Black
Height: 6’2
Weight: N/A
Anime: Cowboy Bebop
Powers: No
Jet Black is actually much taller than the average male anime character we’ve seen.
Although even at 6’2 he comes in dwarfed by some of the behemoths in our Anime Workouts Database.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Jet Black Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Jet Black Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To get us started with the research we’ll need to do in order to write this routine we’ll be pulling right from Jet Black’s Wiki Fandom page.
They lead us off with a brief bio, stating:
Jet Black is an officer of the ISSP and later bounty hunter. He partnered with Fad until losing his arm in the mid-2060s. He then captained the Bebop and led a bounty-hunting crew including Spike Spiegel, Faye Valentine, and Edward.
Being that we don’t have a typical section to jump to from there, which would generally be a “powers and abilities” section, we’re going to start by discussing Jet’s overall appearance, which is something we’ll be building this around.
Think of it like a cosplay oriented routine.
Here’s what they tell us (although we likely already know what we’re working with):
Jet possesses a tall, broad, and muscular appearance. He is balding and only the sides and back of his head have hair. His sideburns continue down his cheeks to form a beard, giving him a slight resemblance to Daisuke Jigen. This is compliments Spike’s tall, lanky body that gives him a slight resemblance to Lupin III and Vicious’ wild, untamed hair. Furthermore, his love for wielding the Katana resembles Goemon Ishikawa. His left arm is a synthetic, robotic limb that seems to heighten his strength. His original limb was lost when he was ambushed by a syndicate assassin and his crooked cop partner. The metallic piece under his right eye has no known purpose, but it is not likely a cosmetic choice.
He wears a flight suit most of the time but has been known to dress up for trips to a nightclub or casino. The scar on his face may imply that he has been in some fights as a cop and bounty hunter. The scar is directly over his eye, but the eye itself is apparently unharmed.
This workout is definitely going to be built around Jet’s muscular and bulkier physique.
If we pull from his Hero Fandom page they list his abilities as: “Skilled pilot and marksman”.
And, while we’re there, they also share this as his goals:
- Capture bounties for money
- Keep Spike out of trouble
Which I thought was enough fun to share.
But, for the sake of this routine and the fact that we aren’t dealing with a character that isn’t “overpowered” like we’re a bit used to seeing – we’ll be building this one centered around getting big and bulky while also being geared towards beginner -> intermediate levels.
So be ready for heavy weights, but also don’t be afraid if you’re a beginner because we’ll be keeping the volume low and the methodology simple.
