We have been on a tear with adding characters to our Tokyo Revengers Inspired Workout Database.
After Izana we will likely have a short break, but you guys have been LOVING them.
Izana came in at number nine among the most popular Tokyo Revengers characters of all time and number four among the most powerful Tokyo Revengers characters!
So clearly he deserved his slot here as soon as possible.
As Mikey’s greatest rival, especially with the background story the two of them have together, will make him an awesome character to get within our Tokyo Revengers Workout Placement Quiz.
Izana Kurokawa Stats:
Real Name: Izana Kurokawa
Height: 5’5
Weight: 128
Anime: Tokyo Revengers
Powers: No
Izana is technically pretty short, but compared to other male anime characters he’s just about average.
Although he is definitely dwarfed by the behemoths within our Anime Workouts Database.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Izana Kurokawa Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Izana Kurokawa Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To start off our research we’ll be pulling information right from his Wiki Fandom page, starting with:
Izana Kurokawa was the former 8th leader of Black Dragon and former president of Tenjiku. He was also one of the main antagonists of The Tenjiku Arc.
Some other interesting information is that he was actually adopted into the Sano family – AKA Mikey’s family.
His relatives are listed as follows:
“Shinichiro Sano (adoptive older brother), Manjiro Sano (adoptive younger brother), Emma Sano (adoptive younger sister) and Karen Kurokawa (adoptive mother)”
And his personality section is broken down all about his “siblings”:
Izana had the possibility of being the kind compassionate elder brother he was when he left Emma, but due to his years alone, became ruthless and cruel. Not only has he become mentally unstable but, he strives for absolute power due to being helpless as a child and now has a hate for his “siblings”.
Despite desperately craving a family, he treats his subordinates like disposable tools and rules over them like a tyrant. He is dismissive of others and will make it clear that he looks down on them, regardless of friend or foe.
While that doesn’t help us write a routine around him, it does build background information for us to understand why him and Mikey are rivals and what motivated him to become one of the strongest characters in the entire series.
From there we can move on into his skills that will begin helping us a bit more.
They start us off by saying:
Izana Kurokawa is the leader of Tenjiku, which means he has command over all his subordinates. He is shown to be the strongest member in the entire Tenjiku Gang and is also shown to be able to initially fight on-par with Mikey.
We know Mikey is the most powerful character in the show – so being shown as “initially” on-par with Mikey says enough.
He also is said to blatantly be the strongest member within the entire Tenjiku Gang, which makes sense – but they have even more for us in his skills section.
Here’s what they add:
According to, Toman’s Former 5th Division Captain, Yasuhiro Muto, not only is Izana a capable fighter, but what makes him the strongest in Tenjiku is his “Undefeatable Senses“. This enables him to read his opponent’s moves with relative ease and thus is able to counter them.
That’s definitely going to be helpful when you’re going up against these Tokyo Revengers characters…
We won’t necessarily be developing undefeatable senses as a result of our workout routine – but we will be shooting to unlock strength, speed and endurance that is capable of being one of the strongest characters in the entire anime.
