We can’t say we’re doing our anime behemoths justice within our Anime Workouts Database without this Hunter X Hunter character…
Uvogin is absolutely humongous.
We’re talking towering over guys like Yujiro Hanma.
Other than some of our gigantic characters from the Chimera Ant Arc (which I don’t have exact heights for, so I can’t say precisely), Uvogin is the tallest character among our Hunter X Hunter Inspired Workouts.
I wanted to bring in another monster character to focus on strength and mass, and he’s definitely the right pick. He’s also [obviously] the strongest member among The Phantom Troupes, but we’ll discuss that more below.
He’ll make a great addition to our Hunter X Hunter Workout Placement Quiz as well.
Uvogin Stats:
Real Name: Uvogin
Height: 8’6
Weight: 415 lbs.
Anime: Hunter X Hunter
Powers: Yes
As I mentioned above: Uvogin is massive.
He comes in as not only one of the tallest anime characters we’ve seen, but also one of the tallest characters in general!
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Uvogin Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Uvogin Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about the strongest member of The Phantom Troupes, Uvogin, I’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page that starts us off with this:
Uvogin was member #11 of the Phantom Troupe and physically the strongest in the group.
Moving along right into his powers and abilities section we can actual get into a lot more detail about him.
Here’s how they start off that section:
Due to Uvogin being born in Meteor City, his existence is not recorded in any database, which makes obtaining information on him nearly impossible. Uvogin boasted the strongest body in the Phantom Troupe and was best suited for close-range combat, including against armed crowds. In addition to his strength and aura, his unflinching spirit allowed him to utilize his aura efficiently regardless of how dire the situation was. Despite his penchant for fighting by himself, he was at his strongest when fighting alongside a partner, particularly against multiple enemies, as it gave him the chance to protect someone. According to Chrollo, Uvogin could overpower just about anyone but was at a disadvantage against the complex abilities used by Manipulators and Conjurers. He did not appear to rely on any kind of martial art, having resorted to simple, wide swings that made full use of his brawn and build. Uvogin had the unique ability to tell the time by gauging how long it had been since his last meal.
What we’re really going to be building this routine around is the rest of his more physical abilities, though.
Here’s how they begin to break the long list down for us:
Immense Strength: Uvogin was an extremely strong human being, ranking first in arm wrestling even in the Phantom Troupe, whose members are all endowed with superhuman brawn. He could destroy rocks, tear apart normal humans with a swing of his arm, and bend reinforced metal with ease. It took just one hit for him to kill an average person or weaker Nen users. He could throw rocks more than one mile, giving them the strength of sniper bullets. Moreover, he could stop a bullet fired at point-blank range with just his teeth. He could also bite through the skulls of competent Nen users, and by hitting the ground, he could raise effective smokescreens, create deep holes, or send boulders flying toward his enemy.
Enhanced Speed and Reflexes: Uvogin showcased superhuman speed when confronting the Mafia members, mowing down a countless number of them in mere minutes. His reflexes were superb, as he was able to catch a bullet with just his teeth and to avoid Kurapika’s Chain Jail, which could bind its target in 0.5 seconds.
Advanced Agility: Uvogin was able to jump from one building to another with ease.
Enhanced Durability: Even without aura, Uvogin’s body was sturdier than average, which he demonstrated by surviving a beating from Kurapika while he was forced into Zetsu and the latter was using Ryu or Ko and had his physical strength enhanced by his Scarlet Eyes and Emperor Time. However, it should be noted that Kurapika did not intend to kill him immediately.
Enhanced Stamina: Uvogin was capable of massacring dozens of Mafia members and dealing with four Shadow Beasts minutes later. Later that same night, he also fought Kurapika without his abilities seemingly being affected.
Enhanced Endurance: Uvogin was very resistant to pain, as he didn’t react when Kurapika punched him in the face, possibly breaking his nose. He could bear the latter torturing him without selling out his comrades or passing out. He did not even flinch when Rabid Dog ripped off two chunks of his flesh, Porcupine impaled him with his hair, or Leech inserted his leeches into the wound.
They also go on to talk about abilities like his Nen, which we know Uvogin to be a Enhancer, as well as his resistance to toxins, his hand to hand combat, and a few minor skills that don’t really help us build out the routine.
For this one I think what we’re looking to achieve is actually quite obvious.
Here are our goals for our Uvogin Inspired Workout:
- Uvogin’s Massive Muscular Physique
- Uvogin’s Immense Strength
- Uvogin’s Enhanced Speed and Endurance
The priorities for this one will be his mass and strength, but the speed will come from our strength work and we’ll also put some focus into endurance as a side goal as well.
That means you better be ready to lift heavy weights with a lot of volume and progressive overload.

Uvogin Workout Routine
Training Volume:
4 days per week
Explanation:
Originally I thought of building this one out around a powerlifting routine, but then I thought of Uvogin as a character and decided focusing around the compound lifts in more of a Bro-Split is DEFINITELY more Uvogin’s speed. You’ll be able to focus in on getting STRONG lifts for Deadlifts, Bench, Squats and Press – but also work around training to get massive and strong with aesthetics as a big goal for his muscular proportions. I’ll also throw in a fun Phantom Troupe Behemoth Circuit Test and additional [optional] endurance work for you guys to utilize as well.
The Superhero Academy now comes with an Upgrade Your Workout Tool that allows Academy members to turn any SHJ workout into a 4-8 week fully planned regime detailing exact weights to lift and including reverse & traditional pyramid training, straight sets, super sets, progressive overload and more.
