We already had our original Suguru Geto inspired workout join our Jujutsu Kaisen Inspired Workouts nearly two years ago, but now it’s time to bring him back for a calisthenics version.
The routine was built around higher intensity weight training rather than heavier training considering Geto’s aesthetic – but for this one I think we’ll actually be on an even better track to make it happen while also having it more open to the bodyweight members of The SHJ Army.
That said, we’ll also still be taking into account that we’re training around one of the most powerful Jujutsu Kaisen characters and keeping the intensity fairly high.
With the extra point of view we get from Season Two of Jujutsu Kaisen we’re definitely going to be having some fun with this one.
Suguru Geto Stats:
Real Name: Suguru Geto
Height: 6’2
Weight: 194 lbs.
Anime: Jujutsu Kaisen
Powers: Yes
Suguru Geto is actually pretty tall compared to male anime characters within our Anime Workouts Database – just missing what we’d consider a behemoth among them by about 4 inches.
That said, his weight of 194 lbs. is actually pretty large for his frame, so while we know he is slim and toned we do need to automatically assume he is carrying a decent amount of muscle.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Suguru Geto Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Suguru Geto Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
Although we’ve already had Suguru Geto on the site we’re still going to be starting off with his bio section that we’ll pull right from his Wiki Fandom here:
Suguru Geto is an antagonist in both the Jujutsu Kaisen series and its prequel Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Jujutsu High. He was originally a student of Masamichi Yaga’s alongside Satoru Gojo and Shoko Ieiri at Tokyo Jujutsu High. His experiences as a jujutsu sorcerer bred a deep hatred for non-sorcerers, leading to an incident where Suguru massacred over a hundred civilians in a single night. He was expelled from Jujutsu High and came to be known as the worst of all curse users.
From there we can move on into his appearance section but skip right passed it and just make mention to the fact that they specifically discuss his slim and tall aesthetic while not really going into much more depth.
From there we can move onto Suguru Geto’s abilities and powers section, starting with how they break down his overall skill level:
Overall Skill Level: Suguru Geto was one of just four special grade sorcerers and was deemed the worst of all curse users due to the level of danger he presented to humanity.
As a student, Suguru and Satoru were both considered “the strongest”. Suguru was capable of making short work of experienced curse users on multiple occasions with little effort. His collection of cursed spirits was wide with a high variety of different abilities and roles in battle. Suguru was not overly dependent on his curses and was a highly capable close-quarters fighter as well.
During his time as a curse user, Suguru used his religious group as a lure to collect thousands of cursed spirits. Over the course of a decade, Suguru became a bigger threat to humanity than any curse at the time. With thousands of curses and several curse users by his side, Suguru had enough power behind him to declare war on Jujutsu High, the cornerstone of the jujutsu community.
As I mentioned above: we are dealing with one of the most powerful characters in Jujutsu Kaisen – but I should also make mention to the fact that this doesn’t necessary help us build out our workout routine.
Moving on into his hand to hand combat skills we can actually learn a lot more about his physical prowess and how we’ll need to adapt for our training:
Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Most of Suguru’s opponents assume he would fight like a shikigami user and allow his cursed spirits to attack for him. Suguru uses this misconception about his technique to his advantage, letting him surprise opponents with expert martial arts skills in hand-to-hand combat.
Suguru allowed an armed close user to get close so Suguru could pummel them with a mix of punches, palm strikes, and hard chops capable of knocking out teeth and leaving his opponents in a bloody heap.
Panda, a cursed corpse who excels in close quarters fighting was even outstruck by Suguru in a brief exchange of purely physical blows. While armed with Playful Cloud, Suguru engaged Yuta and a fully manifested Rika at the same time in close combat. He was able to parry Yuta’s sword strikes and Rika’s physical blows at the same time, keeping both at bay with masterful skill.
Panda is extremely powerful and strong but was overpowered by Geto, which shows just how strong he is with hand to hand combat as well.
They mention that he was “even outstruck by Suguru in a brief exchange of purely physical blows” which puts this even more into perspective for us.
We can obviously also make mention to the fact that he has immense cursed energy and incredible innate techniques, but those won’t necessarily do anything for us in terms of how we add in different movements and training styles.
Instead we’ll need to focus on staying lean and toned (very slim, actually), but also know that we need to be quick and agile like Geto is with his hand to hand combat, but also extremely strong – even capable of overpowering Panda.
That means the goals for our Suguru Geto Inspired Workout are:
- Geto’s Slim and Toned Aesthetic
- Geto’s Quick and Agile Combatant Skills
- Geto’s Overpowering Physical Strength
We can definitely achieve the build needed to work on all of these goals at the same time, but there will be a fair amount of volume.
For that reason you may want to start with one of our Beginner Workouts, particularly our Beginner Ninja Workout or Beginner Speedster Workout if you’re a beginner and then work your way up to this one.
But, other than beginners, this one should be pretty good for all other levels to jump into and scale up and down fairly easily.
