We finally made it back to Hunter X Hunter!
We had a bit of a spree there where we were able to get up another handful of characters but then it fizzled off a bit.
I don’t think there’s a better way to jump back into it than start with the leader of The Phantom Troupe: Chrollo Lucilfer.
Chrollo is also one of the most powerful AND popular characters in Hunter X Hunter, so it also brings us one step closer to building out some of the listicles you guys love so much.
So far we’ve seen characters like: Gon, Killua, Kurapika, Leorio, Hisoka, and even Isaac Netero.
But now I have Chrollo Lucilfer and a couple others that are high up in our request inbox to be added to our Anime Workouts Database.
Chrollo Lucilfer Stats:
Real Name: Chrollo Lucilfer
Height: 5’9.5
Weight: 150 lbs.
Anime: Hunter X Hunter
Powers: Yes
Chrollo Lucilfer is actually technically considered above average height compared to male anime characters we’ve seen.
BUT, we do have to consider that a lot of our male anime characters are younger.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

Chrollo Lucilfer Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero, unless I mentioned differently (for example someone like Hulk may get something specifically different)**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Chrollo Lucilfer Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To get us started with Chrollo Lucilfer we’re going to be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, leading with his bio:
Chrollo Lucilfer is the founder, leader, and member #0 of the Phantom Troupe, an infamous gang of thieves with class-A bounties. His physical strength ranks seventh in the group.
They also move on to talk about his physical appearance, which I am specifically sharing to make sure we know exactly what we’re working with – considering Chrollo isn’t often seen stripping down and hitting the pool…
Here’s what they say:
Chrollo is a young man with black hair and grey eyes. Two of his distinguishing features are his cross-shaped tattoo on his forehead and a pair of orb-shaped earrings. He is usually seen wearing a dark purple fur-collared leather and a fur trench coat that is unbuttoned, revealing his muscular body, while the coat is imprinted with the golden St. Peter’s Cross on the back.
While he might be ranked seventh in the group when talking physical strength, he is still extremely toned and muscular, and one of the most powerful characters in the show.
They move on to talk about his powers and abilities, starting us off with:
Chrollo is an exceptional fighter, being the leader of the Phantom Troupe and revered as the strongest member by most of them. Machi ranks him cleanly above Hisoka, who has consistently shown to prize a fight with the Phantom Troupe’s leader far more than against any other Spider. However, he tends to hold back if his opponent owns an ability that interests him so that he can steal it. He was able to fight against Silva and Zeno Zoldyck, both extremely proficient assassins, simultaneously, without leaving any openings for the former to exploit, though he was unable to cause significant damage to either of them and was ultimately saved by Illumi fulfilling his contract. In the past, he survived a confrontation with the first assassin, while presently Zeno stated that he would surely win if Chrollo fought to steal his ability, but that his victory would be less certain if Chrollo were serious about killing him. His greatest achievement on the battlefield may be his victory at the Heavens Arena against Hisoka, another extremely powerful Nen user who at the time had no record of past defeats or even proof of struggling in fights throughout the duration of the series.
They also list some of his powers and abilities as such:

So for this one we’re really focusing in on two things: Chrollo’s shredded, lean and toned physique AND his enhanced strength, speed, reflexes and agility.
We’ll also tack on some optional mixed martial arts training, but they won’t be a mandatory part of the training to turn into Lucilfer.

Chrollo Lucilfer Workout Routine

Explanation:
To train to become Chrollo Lucilfer we’re going to be using a PPL Split (Push/Pull/Legs) that will consist of three days and then another 2 days devoted to High Intensity Interval Training which will really hit calisthenics and core a bit more and increase our overall acrobatic ability.
