The SHJ Army is demanding I add a Madara Uchiha calisthenics workout to our databases.
And you know what? I’m all for it.
Our Naruto Inspired Workouts Database definitely deserves a calisthenics version of our training built around Madara.
Of course we’ve already seen Madara a bunch of times at SHJ, coming in as one of our most powerful Naruto characters of all time, AND one of our most popular Naruto characters of all time.
But that’s even more of a reason why we need to build a calisthenics version of his training.
And, if you’re here for weights, you can hit the original Madara Uchiha Inspired Workout.
Madara Uchiha Stats:
Real Name: Madara Uchiha
Height: 5’8-5’9
Weight: 157 lbs.
Anime:Â Naruto
Powers: Yes
Madara actually wouldn’t be considered short if compared to male anime characters we’ve seen at SHJ thus far.
Unless of course you compare him to the behemoths within our Anime Workouts Database.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4.  Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.

Madara Uchiha Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.

Madara Uchiha Calisthenics Workout Routine Research
Even though we’ve already seen Madara here before, we’re still going to be going through his background information and learning about him to really break down what we need to focus on to build out this workout.
It’s also nice for any new members who haven’t read the breakdown for his weight training routine.
To do that we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page, which starts us off with:
Madara Uchiha was the legendary leader of the Uchiha clan. He founded Konohagakure alongside his childhood friend and rival, Hashirama Senju, with the intention of beginning an era of peace. When the two couldn’t agree on how to achieve that peace, they fought for control of the village, a conflict which ended in Madara’s death. Madara, however, rewrote his death and went into hiding to work on his own plans. Unable to complete it in his natural life, he entrusted his knowledge and plans to Obito shortly before his actual death. Years later, Madara would be revived, only to see his plans foiled and ultimately, and finally, realising the error of his ways and making amends with Hashirama before his final death.
From there, the next place we can go is directly to his abilities section, which leads us off discussing his overall abilities and how he is one of the most powerful characters in the entire anime.
Here’s what they have to say:
Madara was one of the most powerful shinobi in history, recognised as the strongest Uchiha in his lifetime and for decades after his death. A child prodigy, he killed several adult Senju before he had awakened his Sharingan. History remembers him as the only one able to compete with Hashirama Senju, a “God of Shinobi”, and pushed him to his absolute limits. When Obito operated under Madara’s name, fear of Madara’s power forced the Five Great Shinobi Countries, and the neutral Land of Iron, to band together and trigger the Fourth Shinobi World War, as it was noted Madara’s name itself was power. After his return from death and various enhancements, Madara was able to decisively defeat thousands of shinobi, the Five Kage, and the nine tailed beasts, all at once respectively.
So this will not be some simple, easy calisthenics routine.
You will be able to scale it down if needed – but it’s going to be a ton of volume, and extremely intense.
From there they also go on to discuss his specific physical prowess and chakra – which also leads into his body modifications. They start with this:
Even by Uchiha standards, Madara was born with very powerful chakra, described as very foul and evil. This is partly because he inherited Indra’s chakra. His large chakra reserves allowed him to fight nonstop for twenty-four hours before collapsing, and in his old age, summon the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path from its cage in the moon. His chakra control could perform complicated techniques with a single hand seal. He could also quickly absorb and synchronise senjutsu chakra with his own and therefore enter Sage Mode, despite having no prior training in senjutsu. Even when distributing his chakra among twenty five wood clones, each still had enough power to threaten the Five Kage.
Madara was incredibly skilled in taijutsu. During his confrontation with the Fourth Division, he calmly defeated thousands of opponents with physical combat, disarming and dodging attacks from many directions. He could strike with precision before his opponent could react, and overpower individuals twice his size. He was fast enough to attack Naruto who was in Sage Mode, and dodge a Flying Thunder God Slash via his own sensing abilities combined with sensing abilities that Sage Mode provides. While using Sage Mode, Madara’s pain tolerance was high, as he neither flinched from Sasuke stabbing his right arm, the tailed beasts’ assault, nor from the loss of his arm.
That leads right into his body modifications, which is listed as follows:
When Madara was reincarnated, Kabuto Yakushi modified him to be “beyond his physical and combat prime”. He was restored to his physical prime and physically more capable than ever while also retaining the abilities he only had in his old age. In addition, a pale replica of Hashirama’s face existed on Madara’s left pectoral region, which acted as a medium to channel senjutsu chakra into Sage Mode. It also let him heal most of his injuries in seconds, and allows him the usage of Wood Release. For severe injuries he could not heal, like amputation, Madara could replace his limb with material from a White Zetsu’s body. Stemming from having Hashirama’s cells in his body, Madara’s life-force became powerful enough to not immediately die from having all the tailed beasts extracted from his body.
Now they also go on to discuss his Ninjutsu, Bukijutsu, Nature Transformation, Dojutsu, Sharingan, and so much more – but for the sake of keeping this one a bit shorter (we can discuss this for days), I’m going to begin moving into the specifics of our workout.
We need to train around:
- Superhuman Strength, Speed and Endurance
- Lean and Toned Physique
- Ninja-Like Body Control and Core
Which will involve also including core work, endurance and high intensity training within our calisthenics workout.

Training Volume:
5-6 days a week
Explanation:
We’ll be utilizing 3 days of high intensity calisthenics, 1 day devoted to endurance (although you can do more), and of course, Body Modification Circuit Test!

Madara Uchiha Calisthenics Workout Routine: Ninja Endurance Training
For your endurance, HIIT or MMA/Parkour days you have quite a few options.
You can utilize enforced endurance training that I will program for you based on your fitness level like we do with other workouts here at SHJ…OR you can do 45-60+ minutes of varied cardio (bike, treadmill, elliptical, stairs, row, swim, etc.)…OR you can even use the HIIT resources I’ll provide.
I’ll break it down in that order:
Option One – Run Based on Overall Fitness Level:
Beginner: 1-3 Miles
Intermediate: 3-5 Miles
Advanced: 5+ Miles
