All of a sudden we blinked and went from just Korosensei and Karma Akabane to slowly working our way to a dozen characters within our Assassination Classroom Inspired Workouts.
I’ve been enjoying weaving in and out of students and teachers, and this time we’re getting Gakuho Asano, the board chairman of Kunugigaoka Junior High School.
Our two male adult characters, Korosensei and Tadaomi Karasuma are extremely powerful, so Asano will allow us to bring in a calisthenics workout for the older males inside our database.
That said, I do have a couple students coming in the next few weeks that I’m excited to have hit the site – so make sure to stay tuned and keep checking back.
Gakuho Asano Stats:
Real Name: Gakuho Asano
Height: 6’0
Weight: 168 lbs.
Anime: Assassination Classroom
Powers: No
Gakuho Asano is actually fairly tall compared to our male anime characters, even with that average slowly going up; although he wouldn’t be considered a behemoth among our others inside The Anime Workouts Database.
And his 168 lbs. comes in fairly light for his height, which means we’re on the right track training with calisthenics for this one.
Wolverine was the shortest spot among comic characters we’ve seen at 5’3, prior to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in at 5’2, (and Gimli even shorter) – but Damian Wayne (Robin) is only 5’4. Goku isn’t that tall either, though, standing only 5’7, with Miles Morales only an inch above him.
One Punch Man falls in at 5’9 right there with Ryu, Nightwing at 5’10, and then Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Green Arrow coming in around 5’11 and Beast joining them.
We’ve had Superman and Eddie Brock’s Venom at 6’3, and Captain America, Scorpion and Batman at 6’2, and Carnage at 6’1. Thor and Cyborg are towering over them at 6’6, Thanos and King right there with them at 6’7, Bane at 6’8, and Deathstroke right below at 6’5, and Black Manta at 6’4.
Ronan and Sagat are 7’5, and Doomsday came in at 8’10, and I doubt any characters are touching that anytime soon.
But, don’t worry if you’re not the same height or weight range.
We write these routines to be utilized by anyone and everyone.

Gakuho Asano Diet and Nutrition
**Keep in mind: this section will be nearly identical for each hero.**
Every hero needs to still have a good diet.
Unfortunately we can train like them, but I don’t think any of us are suddenly getting their powers, or the ability to magically stop caring about nutrition.
You can’t out train your diet, so I want to still give some pillars for nutrition.
You can start by checking out The Nutrition Pillars on the site, but I’ll break down some more information for you guys as well.
Guys like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hopper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting (something I use daily as well), Ariana Grande, Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
It’s all about sustainability.
AND, there are a thousand different ways to reach your goals, so finding the most sustainable way is what’s important.
Which is why our Academy utilizes multiple different Nutrition Classes (Greek Gods, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Monks, Samurais, Minimalists, SuperHumans) to allow people to choose what is right for YOU!
Curious where over a hundred celebs fall in their dietary choices ranging from High Protein and Keto to Vegetarian, Vegan and Intermittent Fasting? Want exclusive celeb meal plans? Check this out.

Gakuho Asano Workout Routine Research
We’ve made it to “the fun part”.
And, if you don’t know by now, I say that every single time we get to the workout routine research section for character workouts.
To learn more about Gakuho Asano we’ll be pulling right from his Wiki Fandom page which leads off with this:
Gakuho Asano is the board chairman of Kunugigaoka Junior High School and the father of Student Council President Gakushu Asano who initially serves as an antagonist of the first half of the series, but he later acts as a supporting character.
Some of which I already covered above, but still gives us a little extra background information on Asano.
From there though we’ll move right into his abilities, which give us a better direction for what we’re working with here:
Genius Intellect: Asano possesses a gifted intellectual mind that allows him to learn and comprehend any subject in a short amount of time, and then teach it to his students. He is also known to be “multi-talented”, as Asano was able to amass enough wealth by performing other side careers to independently open Kunugigaoka Academy.
Athletic skills: Asano is just as athletic as he is intelligent. During his cram school days, he easily defended against the various mock assassinations from Ikeda and beat said student at basketball. Another testament of his strength was when he lashed out against his son by hitting him, sending the latter across the room, crashing into the wall on the other side of the classroom before hitting the floor. In the Roll Book Time, it’s revealed that Asano jogs for an hour.
Fighting skills: Asano’s fighting skills were shown when he challenged four athletic exchange students to a fight and won without receiving a single hit. As seen in a flashback, Asano had defeated his karate teacher after three days of intense observation.
Charisma: Due to his unique leadership and personal charm, Asano can easily brainwash children, teenagers, and adults alike.
The basis of this will be under his Athletic Skills, but we’ll also be taking his Fighting Skills into account as well.
We find out two things there: Asano jogs for an hour, and he’s actually pretty strong.
So, expect to jog for an hour every day on top of hour calisthenics training.
The goals of our Gakuho Asano Inspired Workout are:
- Asano’s Strength and Athleticism
- Asano’s Endurance (from Daily Run)
- Asano’s Lean and Slim Physique
This will be an easy one to build out because it’s pretty straight forward and the goals work pretty well together.
Feel free to scale back as needed or even potentially start with our Beginner Ninja Workout if you’d like to slowly train your way to this one.
