Diane Guerrero’s workout and diet is going to be a bit different than what we’re used to seeing.
Guerrero’s routine has been requested to be featured for our Doom Patrol week, along with Brendan Fraser’s workout and diet as well.
We had already featured Matt Bomer’s workout, who plays Negative Man, but don’t forget he’s also been in Magic Mike…
Guerrero, who plays Crazy Jane in Doom Patrol alongside Fraser and Bomer, is also most known for her role in Orange Is The New Black, but has also starred in Jane The Virgin, Emoticon :), Festival, and more!
And, as well as starring in these awesome roles and portraying a new favorite superhero, she also struts a sexy aesthetic that has SHJ Army members wanting to know how!
Don’t expect a grueling superhero routine and expansive diet, though, this one might surprise you!
Diane Guerrero Stats:
Height: 5’2
Weight: (approximate) 132 lbs.
Age: 33 years old
Diane Guerrero is one of the shortest women we’ve had at SHJ.
She falls under the average height and joins ladies like Natalie Portman, Hough, and others in that same range.
Normally the average height we see for women is around 5’4-5’6 with ladies such as Jennifer Aniston, Margot Robbie, Olivia Munn, Alicia Vikander, Sophia Bush, Tatiana Maslany, Evangeline Lilly, and a ton of others.
But then there is also that taller range, and among the tallest (even taller than the 5’7-5’8), are ladies like Gwendoline Christie, Gal Gadot, and a few others – with Phoebe Tonkin, Gabrielle Union, Brie Larson, Nina Dobrev, Daisy Ridley, and so many more coming in around that 5’7-5’8 range.
And, let’s not forget the shorter ladies of SHJ like Ariana Grande, Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, Emilia Clarke, Lucy Hale, Julianne Hough and a good handful of others.
But, either way, don’t worry.
I write these routines for anyone and everyone.

Diane Guerrero Diet and Nutrition
First things first: Diane Guerrero doesn’t actually workout and diet.
That being said, in order to keep her rockin’ physique, she does eat a low enough caloric intake (daily/weekly) and is active enough to sustain her slim curves with the combination.
I’ll break that down a bit more in a second, but first let’s talk about how she DOESN’T workout or diet.
Guerrero tweets:
I workout in two ways: 1.in my mind 2: following people on Instagram that work out. Does that count? Whatever I’m eating a sandwich bitch.
Guerrero doesn’t hit the gym, and she doesn’t restrict her diet.
We can, however, talk about some of the things she does within her non-restrictive diet.
In an interview with Bon Appetit Guerrero shares this:
When you seek comfort, are there any Colombian dishes that you make?
I love making dishes that my mother used to make. I’ll make the easier ones, like rice and beans with plantains, or her amazing red beet salad with carrots, cilantro, a little tomato, and lemon vinaigrette. I’ll do kale and beans for a healthier, cleaner twist, but still make room for baked plantains with cheese inside, or Colombian empanadas with shredded beef and potato that my dad would make. I also love dipping Cuajada Fresca [a fresh cheese curd] into coffee, chocolate, or Aguapanela, a sugar cane drink with lemon or lime.
Is there a signature recipe from your family?
When we would go to the beach, my parents wouldn’t want to spend a lot of money on the expensive snacks. So my dad would make a big ass pot of spaghetti with sausage and red sauce, and bring that, plantains, and rice. They just wanted to feed a lot of people, and it was so cheap. So we’d all have spaghetti on the beach—it was hilarious.
She also tells Cosmopolitan:
What gives you instant confidence?
Mascara for sure. It brightens up your eyes super quick. I’m in love with Better Than Sex Mascara from TooFaced, $23.Any beauty advice from mami?
She tells me about Himalayan salt and just scrubbing it all over your body. But that’s also a little brujerÃa [laughs]. She’s like, “¡Sácate ese mal!” Most of all, drinking water, so your body and skin can stay hydrated.Who is your beauty inspiration?
I gotta say J.Lo. Every time I go to a photo shoot, I’m like, “Can you make me glow? Can you make me look like I just came out of the shower, but with makeup on?” I don’t know how she stays looking so fresh.
With the biggest portion of this (in relation to SHJ, at least), being the hydration part!
Other than this information it genuinely seems like Guerrero is active enough to burn through whatever calories she decides to eat.
We can tag her down for yet another celeb on the list of including indulgences within their nutrition.
The full list of such is growing bigger and bigger in my book Superhuman Secrets.
We see a lot of celebs opt for a sustainable approach like this.
That’s why our Academy Nutrition Classes (Monks, Minimalists, SuperHumans, Vikings, Spartans, Hunter Gatherers, Greek Gods, Samurais) revolve around helping you find the specific diet that is right FOR YOU.
Of course, there are a lot of reasons to HAVE the strict guidelines.
We’ve seen a lot of celebs opt for specific restrictions.Â
For example: Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart incorporate 80/20 dieting with big weekly cheat meals, Hugh Jackman, Benedict Cumberbatch and Terry Crews utilize intermittent fasting(something I use daily as well), Mustafa Shakir and Madelaine Petsch are vegans, Brandon Routh and Frank Grillo opt for paleo, and tons of others utilize their own variations as well.
And, that’s just to name a few celebs from each, by the way.
You can check out our Nutrition Pillars for more information and articles on all of the above and more.

Diane Guerrero Workout Routine Research
Spoiler Alert: We already discussed that Diane Guerrero does not follow a typical training schedule or regime.
That being said, I do want to discuss some of the ways Guerrero stays active, and some of the ways YOU can replicate this style of health.
If you do a quick scan of Guerrero’s social platforms you’ll find that she’s always outside, and also spends a lot of time in the sun (on a boat or at the beach when able).
She’s always out and about, and also on her feet most hours of the day when filming; which also includes some new action with her role as Crazy Jane!
Guerrero is also extremely active in her own story, politics and more.
And you may not think that this is relevant, but it is.
Guerrero has the time for all of her roles, her own Podcast (“How It Is”), writing her own book (“In The Country We Love”), and tons of other areas where she takes a strong passion and work ethic towards.
It leaves her little time to be bored and little time to snack and eat out of said boredom, which we find is a huge problem for many of our members of The SHJ Army!
Bon Appetit covers some of her storytelling and podcasting when they ask:
How It Is is such a powerful podcast. What made you passionate about helping these women tell their stories, in their own words?
When we explored the #MeToo movement and Time’s Up, I realized that I never took the time to think about the troubles I experienced as a woman. For so long, I was consumed by my family’s immigration status, growing up poor, and dealing with racism, and I found it hard to put myself with those [feminist] movements. I learned so much listening to other women’s stories and recalled all the microaggressions I’ve dealt with. How many times was I abused? Was I violated? It was like a normal thing that a man would talk down to me, and totally normal for someone to say something completely sexist and me laugh it off. Now I know that’s not right. And I know my worth.
What kind of stories do you want to tell next?
I want to cover different women of color and the facets of their lives growing up. I also want to explore more stories from the disabled community and their experiences. We are all together in this fight. Next season, we will also focus on worth and value, whether it’s the value of money, your self-worth, or the value of working together.
So whether you need a passion project like Guerrero’s or not, this is what she’s up to instead of snacking.
In this case, instead of giving you a workout routine that is a replication of Guerrero’s, I’ll be making you one with resources from all over SHJ that is built specifically to get you into Guerrero-like-aesthetics!
To finish us off and bring us into your new workout routine I want to end off with some motivating words from Guerrero’s interview with Cosmo:
You’ve been in this industry for a short time and have accomplished so much!
The key is not to give up if you really want it. Whether it’s a career in the arts or being a lawyer, whatever it is, you just can’t quit. I think many times where people fail is they start something and when they see how hard it is, they switch to something else. If you do something, you gotta go all in.What do you do when you’re sad?
I remind myself of the old saying, “Todo se arregla en la vida menos la muerte.” And I do things that make me happy: Call my mother, get some fresh air, read a book. Sometimes I have pineapple when I’m feeling sad. It reminds me of summer joy, my mother feeding it to me for sweetness so I could feel better.
Now get ready to kick some butt!

Diane Guerrero Workout Routine
Training Volume:

As you now know from the article above, Guerrero doesn’t train very typically. For that reason I’ll be sharing other resources that will help you get the aesthetic that Guerrero shows off while training minimalistically and in the fashion that you want. We’ve seen hundreds of celebrity females take a minimalist approach to their training in Superhuman Secrets and that has even been replicated into a lot of the formatting for our SHJ Legacy Program; so I’ll be using some of those resources below as well.
